About J.J. Chapa

The sun is shining brilliantly above the grassy field where J.J. Chapa and his daughter, Bailey, are working on her softball swing. With his hands covering her smaller ones on the bat, J.J. shows his daughter how to follow through and connect with the ball. As J.J. helps his daughter practice, every successive swing of the bat reinforces this local businessman’s belief in what matters most. Whether he’s coaching his oldest daughter Bailey’s softball team, reading to his son, Ian, or taking his middle daughter, Kennedy, fishing—you can be sure this dedicated professional is making the most of every moment. He is committed to instilling in his children the same strong work ethic, sense of responsibility and compassionate nature that both he and his wife, Danielle, share. Working Values Born and raised in West Texas, J.J. worked hard to put himself through college, earning a public relations degree from Texas Tech that led him to accept a position as director of public relations for one of the largest non-profit agencies in the country. He successfully elevated community awareness of this nonprofit organization and its many beneficial social service programs. In 1999, however, this savvy businessman decided to join forces with his father to build up the family’s land surveying company. The experience created a solid foundation that J.J. still draws from today in his remarkable career as a real estate professional. When he’s not helping his clients make the most of their investment decisions, J.J. enjoys watching his kids participate in their favorite activities, be it soccer, softball, violin or clarinet. His other hobbies include playing the piano, playing tennis and watching Texas Tech football games.
